9 DAYS!!!

Scott here... just wanted to let everyone know we are NINE DAYS AWAY!! It would be obvious for me to say we are extremely busy right now, but it is true. We are busy! Lots and lots of wedding activities and to-do lists to wrap up.

But all that to say, we are so excited right now. It is unbelievable that we are getting married next Saturday. Which according to weather.com happens to be a beautiful day! Almost everything is in place... The rehearsal dinner, the photographer, cake, flowers, band, etc... Just a few more loose ends to tie up and then we are there. Couldn't be more ready... then the next day we will board a plane to Sandals Bahamas!

Scott & Daniele Hamilton in 9 (well, 8 and a half) days!

Christmas

Scott and I celebrated Christmas on Saturday together because this will be our lat Christmas spent apart, with out own families.  I'm glad it's the last time!!!  Every Holiday is a little tough because you want to be so happy, but it's tough when you are separate from the one you love!

Well Scott did it big for our celebration!  He strung Christmas lights from the ceiling of his apartment, set up a big ol' tree with multi colored lights, had stockings hanging from the kitchen bar, and even had take out from Olive Garden waiting on the table :) So perfect!!  I told him I felt like we were getting engaged again!!  It was THAT pretty :)  Good job Scott.

I can't believe I get to marry this thoughtful guy.  I must have done something right!!

3 Years and I Don't Know What I Would Do Without Him!

So tomorrow, December 11th marks our 3 years of dating!!  We are going to be celebrating it tonight because we will be traveling to Dallas tomorrow for a Christmas party with friends!

Scott is the best guy ever.  I couldn't be luckier to be marrying him...let alone being with him!  I'm so excited and blessed.

When I played 'house' when I was growing up I always used one of two names for my 'husband'.  I either used Zack, from Saved By The Bell, of course, or I used Scott.  How ironic is this?!  I don't have a clue where I got that name...maybe one of my mom's soap operas?  I just thought that was a fun little tidbit to share :)  Basically...I think Scott and I were meant to be.

Getting Closer!!

Well we are almost 3 months away from having the wedding of our dreams!!  Planning is going pretty well and things are moving right along!  Scott and I have adopted the attitude of picking something and moving on!  It's been very helpful with choices such as invitations.  There are endless possibilities so it's pretty tough to make sure you pick the 'right one'.  I think we're doing great :)

So invitations are officially ordered, linen is booked, the cake baker is booked...I think we've got all the big factors taken care of! Phew...

Scott has been a great member of the wedding planning team.  I love his opinions on everything from invitations to registries.  He is AWESOME.  A special thanks to Scott for being involved :)  This whole process of being engaged has only brought Scott and I closer together.  I hope for everyone that they have as much fun with it as we are!

Love you all!!

Check That Off The List!!

Well Scott and I have made some major movements in our wedding planning progress!  We have sent in a deposit for the A&M United Methodist Church and Pebble Creek Country Club for the wedding date of March 12th of 2011.  That's right!!! That is the official date and thanks to my knot.com I can tell you that is 173 days away!!!  Scott and I have been living apart for 10 months now and so it is so crazy to think that in less than six months we will never have to worry about that again :)  God is so good!

This past Friday I finally found THE dress!  I went back on Saturday and loved it even more so I bought it!  I couldn't be more excited about it being the one I'm going to marry Scott in.  I wish I could give you some clues as to what it looks like but I think it is too good of a surprise to ruin!  I am so lucky to have such great friends and family to help me make this tremendous choice!  My mom, Cassie and Betsy, Scott's mom, were able to meet me in Dallas for dress shopping a week ago....what troopers they are!  After going to bridal salons around Austin by myself for a week I finally found it!  Liz (David's girlfriend) Betsy, and my mom via email were fortunately able to come help me make my final choice.  Thank you ladies :)

Sunday I drove to College Station for a bridal show in order to meet our future vendors for the cake, flowers, decor, etc!  It was a fun trip because doing all these things help remind me I'm a bride and will remember this blessed adventure forever :)

A million choices...

So as it turns out, planning a wedding is tough... I just assumed we could do everything in a quick montage set to "Going to the Chapel" like in Father of the Bride... turns out, it's not that easy, and we don't have Martin Short as our eccentric yet lovable wedding planner.

BUT we have narrowed the location down to four places! Not 4 specific places, but four cities. Austin, College Station, Plano, and Wichita Falls. Which really isn't very narrow at all. But we hope to soon have at least a city picked out, and be between a couple of venues. I think once we have the venue and date picked out, things will be much easier. Having a guest list and invitations sent out will make things a lot easier as well.

We're hoping to get LC ROCKS to play at the reception. I don't know if they are available or even in the budget, but really, what better way to start out a marriage than rocking out to the sounds of "Enter Sandman", "Take Me Home Tonight", "Don't Stop Believing", "Home Sweet Home", etc... Really hoping to make that work!! I've spoken with their manager a little bit, so we'll see what happens. Until next time!
